100 up for CIBSE Journal!

CIBSE Journal celebrates its 100th issue this month. Published monthly, the Journal is sent to all members of The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE), the professional body that supports the science, art and practice of building services engineering.

Complemented by a website at www.cibsejournal.com, the magazine celebrates the skills and excellence of environmental engineers and their contribution to the creation of low energy, healthy buildings.

CPL was appointed in 2009 to launch and manage the magazine which has covered thousands of topics in the years since then.

The issues since have chartered the rapidly changing course of sustainability in the built environment. Expert technical features have kept engineers informed of the latest renewable technologies and the magazine has been instrumental in highlighting the issue of poorly performing buildings, which costs huge amounts both in terms of energy bills and carbon emissions.

Interviews with industry big hitters such as Max Fordham, Mike Davies and Andy Wall have given readers insight into business strategy.

Darren Price, head of production at CPL, has overseen all 100 issues as they went to press. "It's been a fantastic achievement. Credit must go to many people, as this wouldn't have been possible without a fantastic working relationship between the editor and the editorial team, designers, production team, the media sales team at Redactive, Warners printers, and, of course, the people at CIBSE.

The magazine is in better shape than ever as we move on to issue 101 - Darren Price, head of production, CPL

"The magazine has just undergone an excellent redesign and is in better shape than ever as we move on to issue 101."

CIBSE Journal is highly regarded among its members and the industry. It is regularly voted as the top membership benefit by CIBSE members and 93% of members rate its editorial content as 'good' or 'excellent'. It has won several awards, and Alex Smith has been shortlisted as editor of the year in the forthcoming MemCom Awards
