Bye bye beard

Staff and friends of CPL have rallied round to support our colleague Craig Bates, who has shaved off his legendary beard to raise money for Movember UK.

The Movember Foundation is a global charity committed to happier, healthier and longer lives for men. Founded in 2003, it has raised hundreds of millions of pounds in funding for programmes focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and physical inactivity.

Craig’s colleagues at CPL are among those who have been helping him to meet his £1,000 fundraising target. His beard has gone, but the moustache will remain for the whole of November.

“I had the impression shaving my beard was likely to raise more awareness (and sponsorship) than a typical Movember moustache, so it seemed well worth it,” says Craig.
