CPL agrees exclusive strategic partnership with the Institute of Association Leadership

CPL has signed a deal to be the exclusive editorial and publishing partner for the Institute of Association Leadership (IAL).

The partnership, which starts in December, will mean that IAL members can benefit from CPL’s expertise in creating and delivering high-quality content strategies for a range of trade associations and professional bodies.

CPL’s Cambridge-based team of 50 includes experts in content strategy, editorial, design, video and media sales.

The Institute of Association Leadership is the professional community for current and future chief executives, and C-suite professionals who lead within the unique environment of the membership sector. While there are many association networks around the world, the IAL prides itself on being the only global C-suite leadership community for the association profession.

Since its re-emergence in September 2020, the IAL, now a Community Interest Company, has worked to advance its mission. Refocused on the elevation of association leaders, the IAL is committed to helping members to be the professionals capable of advancing society and is an expanding global network of professional association leaders.

CPL has an excellent reputation in this sector and I am confident that this partnership will lead to benefits for IAL, our members and CPL.”

As part of the agreement, CPL will support IAL’s member services and content programme, including blogs, podcasts and the IAL’s Forum Focus where CPL will lead on a relevant issue or trend and then facilitate a group discussion.

“We are really pleased to confirm this partnership,” said CPL director Sophie Hewitt-Jones. “It demonstrates our commitment to developing, growing and advancing the association sector and offers us the opportunity to interact with the IAL’s exclusive and influential membership base.”

Laura Gibson, for the IAL, said: “We are delighted that CPL has become the latest expert organisation to sign an exclusive partnership with IAL. CPL has an excellent reputation in this sector and I am confident that this partnership will lead to benefits for IAL, our members and CPL.”

CPL creates print and digital magazines and other branded content for more than 15 professional membership organisations including the Market Research Society, the Association of British Insurers, the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers, the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists. New CPL membership clients in 2021 include the Chartered Quality Institute and the Institute of Asset Management.
