CPL helps BIMCO on its transition from print to digital publishing

International shipping organisation BIMCO has made the move from a print to digital format for its members’ magazine, Bulletin, making it easier for members and the wider shipping industry to access content and share it with colleagues.

The magazine is available online and can be downloaded from the BIMCO app, ensuring readers can view it when they are at sea or otherwise offline.

CPL won the contract to design and deliver the new digital magazine to tie in with the relaunch of BIMCO’s website.

Bulletin shares knowledge and expertise on the global shipping industry. It also includes in-depth market analysis and considered comment on a range of issues affecting the sector.

The new interactive version, using the CPLPortfolio digital publishing solution, has been designed to look great on smartphones, desktops and tablets.

Gemma Wilkie, communications director for BIMCO, said: “Moving from print to digital was always going to be an important step for us to reach many more people. CPL has helped us deliver a digital experience that we are proud to share with our members.”

Mike Sewell, managing director at CPL, added: “We have been talking to BIMCO for a while about transitioning their membership publishing from print to digital. It’s great that the hard work put in by BIMCO’s internal team – and the CPL design and development experts – has paid off.”
