CPL has worked with uni-ball to devise a headline promotional film to highlight its sustainable packaging drive.
For more than a century, uni-ball has been a global leader in providing innovative writing and art instruments. Now, as the UK’s number one market-leading rollerball supplier, it is prioritising its responsibility to reduce single use plastic in product packaging.
CPL was approached by uni-ball to help demonstrate its commitment to plastic-free packaging (PFP). The fully recyclable and biodegradable solution is the result of a series of technical manufacturing processes; CPL’s challenge was to celebrate this innovation to create a colourful, clear and dynamic film centred on an authentic and persuasive narrative.
The filming plan involved shooting in three industrial locations across the country, adhering to Covid guidelines. CPL’s editorial and video production teams developed a storyboard that kept the PFP proposition front and centre of the messaging while still celebrating the spirit and creativity of the uni-ball product.
CPL’s design team worked on playful, hand-illustrated flourishes to work in conjunction with a set-piece interview with uni-ball’s head of sales and marketing. The film was designed to be easily repurposed for social media and other external consumer audiences.
