CPL team races ahead for Darley

From biscuit designs to menu signs, giant graphics to targeted videos, it's an extremely busy time for the Darley team at CPL as the flat racing season in Newmarket heads for one of the highlights of the summer racing calendar, the July Festival.

The team at CPL plays a big part in helping create 'the look' for Darley each year, both at its prestigious Stallion Parade, at Dalham Hall Stud, near Newmarket, and for the Darley July Cup, one of the festival’s top races.

This involves the creation of a great number of diverse branding media, in both print and digital formats.

This year, as well as giant canvasses showing the Darley stallions at their best and used to festoon the main marquee at the Stallion Parade, CPL has designed invitations, advertising (print, online and audio-visual productions), brochures, illustrations for biscuits, mugs and caps.

Among the most viewed items at the racecourses are the winning line graphics, the presentation backdrop, the winning sheets and Darley’s sponsorship of the race cards. Racing fans will see all these at the July Course on July Cup day.

Much of the work created will be transported and used at European racecourses, too.

One of the innovations this year at the Stallion Parade is the use of a fog screen – a system that uses water vapour to create a semi-transparent wall of suspended particles on which a Darley video is screened. Guests will be able to walk through the wall without getting even slightly wet!

Also, for the first time, Darley will be live-streaming the Parade on its website with technical support from CPL.

As soon as these two major events are over, CPL’s team will turn its attention to the southern hemisphere and do it all again for Darley’s Australian Stallion Parade and associated events.
