CPL video team ‘creates magic’ for London charity art event

Excitement is building for a youth charity’s 30th anniversary art exhibition in December, thanks to great work by the CPL video editing team.

Art for Youth London is a popular event staged annually at the Mall Galleries in London. It raises money for UK Youth, a national charity dedicated to providing young people with advice, support and training. Artworks are offered for sale with a proportion of the money raised going to the charity.

Having been impressed by other videos edited by CPL, one of the charity’s directors approached us to create a short promotional film using footage shot at the event’s public launch in June, footage from other years, interviews with key people in the organisation and previous art prizewinners.

The CPL video team, led by Jon Sankey, designed a storyboard, provided the voiceover, picked key parts of the interview sections and which shots to use, as well as selecting music and creating graphics.

Ann Mavroleon Dixon, event organiser at Art for London, said: ‘I cannot recommend CPL highly enough. Its brilliant, highly professional editing team took a very rough story draft and, mixing new raw footage with old videos, managed to encapsulate the essence of our message and create magic!

‘They were also able to incorporate suggestions made by multiple interested parties in a timely and efficient manner. Feedback from the audience we wanted to reach has been really positive.’
