Major new contract for media sales

CPL has been awarded a five year media sales contract with the British Psychological Society (BPS), the representative body for psychologists and psychology in the UK.

The Psychologist is the Society’s monthly publication for all members. With a circulation of more than 55,000, it is the largest psychology publication in the UK.

As well as selling the display and recruitment advertising space for the print magazine, CPL will also be responsible for selling space in the Society’s award-winning, Research Digest blog, and various other online sponsorship options.

CPL will be relaunching www.psychapp.co.uk, the BPS recruitment website and the UK’s number one jobs site for psychology. The new website, due to go live in March 2016, will have increased functionality and will be mobile-friendly.

We are looking forward to working with Richard and his team at CPL. Their previous experience in media sales, combined with their fresh new approach to our publishing portfolio is ideal for us - Russell Hobbs, Finance Director, BPS

Richard Walters, CPL Head of Media Sales, is delighted to win the contract, which came into effect on 1 January 2016. He said: “We have years of experience in working with membership organisations and the BPS fits well with our team’s knowledge and strengths. The launch of the new site is an exciting project and we look forward to applying our expertise in this field and working with the BPS to develop it.

“The Society’s media portfolio is highly respected and valued among members. It boasts a strong digital presence with enviable statistics, and this is becoming increasingly important among advertisers. An essential element to our media sales strategy is to ensure the market is aware of the digital and sponsorship options, and that every advertiser can have a unique advertising campaign that best fits their needs.”

Director of Finance at the British Psychological Society, Russell Hobbs, commented: “We are looking forward to working with Richard and his team at CPL. Their previous experience in media sales, combined with their fresh new approach to our publishing portfolio is ideal for us, and will benefit our members.”
