Members’ magazine for the British Airline Pilots’ Association makes CIPR awards shortlist

The Log, the members’ magazine of the British Airline Pilots’ Association (BALPA), has been shortlisted by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) in the Best Internal Publication category of this year’s Excellence Awards.

Written by pilots, for pilots, The Log carries topical information and features about BALPA’s activities as well as insight into the wider aviation industry. It is sent to all 13,000 members of the association.

CPL was appointed in early 2016 to help relaunch the magazine, manage the media sales and the ongoing design and production. As well as giving the magazine a fresh, contemporary look, CPL sourced a new paper stock to help modernise the feel of the publication and enhance its editorial excellence.

The high quality of the editorial, coupled with the new design, makes it an excellent internal magazine and we are delighted to see it recognised - Phil Minett, managing editor, CPL

Phil Minett, managing editor at CPL, is delighted with the news: “We worked very closely with the BALPA team on the relaunch of the magazine. The high quality of the editorial, coupled with the new design, makes it an excellent internal magazine and we are delighted to see it recognised.”

The CIPR Excellence Awards ceremony will take place in early June in London.
