Positive outcome from CPL’s first design project for Kier Group

CPL has completed its first graphic design and production project for Kier Group – and added to its growing stable of clients in the East of England.

Kier’s Corporate Responsibility Report 2017 spells out the progress made in delivering the group’s strategy to achieve growth in a safe and sustainable way.

The property, residential, construction and services group’s report is called Responsible Business, Positive Outcomes. The CPL team ensured that its design complements and builds on Kier’s Annual Report – presenting complex information in a straightforward, understandable way.

It features extensive use of infographics, charts, tables and colour coding to reinforce key messages and statistics.

Gareth Rondel, Kier’s head of group corporate responsibility, praised the whole CPL team: ‘Working to a tight deadline, they came up with a creative design that exceeded the brief.

‘They were meticulous in their attention to detail at every stage of the process – from initial concepts through to sub-editing, proofreading and the extensive sign-off process.

‘They have also helped us maximise the content by creating additional design elements and solutions for social media and other communication channels.’

Richard Walters, CPL’s director – commercial, added: ‘We’re proud to have completed this project successfully and hope it will be the first of many for Kier.

‘Although CPL is based in Cambridge, until the past couple of years only a small proportion of our clients have been based in the East of England.

‘That is now changing fast, and we aim to convince more businesses and organisations in the region that they can benefit from the high-quality design, written and video content we create across a range of channels and formats.’
