Six CPL clients shortlisted in 2018 memcom awards

Outstanding work for a range of CPL clients has been shortlisted in this year’s memcom membership excellence awards.

The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), the British Airline Pilots’ Association (BALPA), the British Parking Association (BPA), and the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) are all on the shortlist, along with the Royal Statistical Society and the British Psychological Society.

The annual awards recognise and showcase high-quality work in the membership communications sector. The Log (BALPA) and Parking News (BPA) are in the running for best magazine, while Martin Bewick (CIM) and Alex Smith (CIBSE) are up for editor of the year.

CPL managing director Mike Sewell said: ‘All these publications benefit from the excellent co-operation and shared creativity demonstrated by both our clients’ and CPL’s teams. In all these cases, the publications are playing a measurable role in delivering against our clients’ strategic priorities – and it’s great to see this being recognised by the memcom judges.’

The winners will be revealed on 16 May at the culmination of this year’s memcom conference, during which CPL director Richard Walters will be presenting a joint session with CPL client The Camping and Caravanning Club. This will explore how to find the right balance between growing commercial revenue and delivering value through membership communications.
