Success for CPL at national internal communications awards

It was a night of celebration for CPL on Friday 29 September, when three entries for the 2017 Institute of Internal Communication (IoIC) national awards scooped accolades – including one class winner.

Parking News, the magazine for the British Parking Association, won an Award of Excellence and was also declared Class Winner in the Best Illustration category. ‘Enter the dragons’ was a series of drawings commissioned by editor Rob Coston and created by designer Zsuzsa Goodyer to support a feature on buyouts and developments within the sector.

CPL also picked up Awards of Excellence for CIBSE Journal – the monthly magazine for the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers – in the Publication for Members category, and The Log – the recently relaunched title for members of the British Airline Pilots’ Association (BALPA) – in the Best Magazine category.

Richard Walters, director – commercial, at CPL, said: ‘We’re delighted that the hard work of all the teams involved in these publications has been rewarded. So much time and effort is dedicated to these projects that we and our clients rarely get the chance to stand back and appreciate what we’ve achieved. These awards give us that opportunity.’

The IoIC is an independent professional body, dedicated to promoting a deeper understanding of internal communications. The annual national awards scheme aims to seek out and celebrate great examples of work carried out by agencies and in-house teams.
