CPL lands “The Log” redesign

The summer 2016 issue of The Log magazine – a member benefit of the British Airline Pilots’ Association (BALPA) – has been given a fresh, new look.

BALPA is the professional association and registered trade union established to represent the interests of 100,000 UK pilots. The Log, published quarterly, reaches more than 85% of commercial pilots, as well as industry officials, international aviation bodies, other unions and MPs.

CPL won the contract to handle the design, media sales, print and production of the magazine earlier this year. The Log now has a new masthead and fonts, and its structure has been revamped to ease navigation and create a more engaging read.

Richard Toomer, head of communications and external relations at BALPA, says: “We’re delighted with The Log’s new look. The use of imagery, the way data is presented and the pace of the magazine are all aspects that have been greatly improved through this project.”

Phil Minett, managing editor at CPL, adds: “The Log has a new size [260mm x 210mm] and the new paper stock gives it a fresh, contemporary feel  – perfect for its high-quality editorial content.”
