TS Today wins digital category at MemCom Awards

TS Today, the digital magazine for the Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI), is the winner of the 2016 MemCom Award for digital/online magazine.

Launched as part of a major change to CTSI’s communications strategy and developed collaboratively between CPL and CTSI, TS Today is a monthly interactive digital magazine for members and other interested parties.

The magazine is created using CPL’s bespoke CPL Portfolio solution, which means it is optimised to look great online and in an app. It finished ahead of the digital magazine for the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, which was highly commended in the category.

TS Today is part of a wider publishing offering by CTSI, including a quarterly print magazine (TS Review) and enewsletters.

Editor Carina Bailey is delighted with the news: “TS Today is home to major stories within the industry. Trading standards professionals’ remit covers a wide range of consumer and business-related matters and the content aims to highlight issues and encourage debate. Our approach to publishing TS Today means that we can make last-minute changes to ensure content is up-to-date, relevant and interesting – while maintaining the feel of a monthly magazine.”

Mike Sewell, managing director of CPL, added: “A recent reader survey and TS Today’s analytics demonstrate how successfully the magazine is working for members. CTSI set out to revamp its communications tools and TS Today, along with its wider publishing package, is a textbook example of effective content delivery. We’re delighted to win this award.”
