CPL lands five Memcom magazine awards nominations

Five of CPL’s titles have been nominated for plaudits at the 2019 Memcom Membership Excellence Awards.

Now in their 20th year, the awards honour the best examples of effective communication across the membership sector, highlighting design creativity, commercial innovation and consistent quality of content. Judges assess how the content has delivered value to the organisation’s audience and helped retain existing members and attract new ones.

CPL nominations include:

  • Camping and Caravanning in a number of categories, including best commercial initiative. This is managed by CPL’s media sales team, led by Lauren Buchan with support from Dale Lawrence;

  • Louise Parfitt as Editor of the Year for Parking News (for the British Parking Association);

  • CIBSE Journal (written, designed and produced by CPL’s in-house team, including Alex Smith, Liza Young and James Baldwin)

  • The redesigned Impact magazine for the Market Research Society, which was carried out by senior designer Kevin Reed; and

  • BIMCO Bulletin (for The Baltic and International Maritime Council), a digital magazine overseen by CPL managing editor Phil Minett.

Mike Sewell, CPL managing director, said: “I’m delighted that the combined input of CPL and our clients has been recognised. The ideas, innovation and creativity from our design, editorial and commercial teams have been impressive over the past 12 months. The nominations are a credit to everyone involved.”
