Introducing new talent with Kickstart

We are excited to introduce  Billie Rae, a new member of the CPL team. Bille, who joins us as content assistant, has been recruited as part of the government’s Kickstart scheme.

The scheme appealed to us as a way of creating a new and much-needed role at CPL, and at the same time opening a door to the world of media and marketing for a young person taking their first steps into the world of work.

Billie’s enthusiasm and keenness to learn about our clients and the work we do for them –  alongside his talent for writing – makes him an ideal match for CPL.

Kickstart provides funding to employers to create six-month contracts for young people between the ages of 16 and 24, who currently claim Universal Credit.

CPL director Sophie Hewitt-Jones said: “This scheme has enabled us to bring in new, untapped talent; we interviewed people who may never have applied to join us had they not been introduced to CPL via Kickstart.

“As a business we take the nurturing of our people seriously and a number of those who’ve come to us on work placements have stayed and developed their careers here. We are delighted to welcome Billie and are confident the experience will be beneficial for both Billie and CPL."
